Prayer for Deliverance Part 2

When you are in pain or suffering time looses all meaning.  One hour can feel like eternity.  We should not wait until it is the last option to pray, but plea to God along the journey.  There is all kinds of pain: physical, mental, emotional, and a mixture.  Pray with hope.
When you are suffering God can feel far away, like He has given up on you.  It is easy for your thoughts to go to a dark place where your pain consumes you.  It can feel like the entire world is against you.  This in not a good place to be, but it is a place many people reach.  It can drive people to do unthinkable things.
When we need deliverance it is a good time to remember to pray even if you are out of practice or never tried before.  It is not about testing God, but finding an inner peace.  It is okay to beg God to deliver you from the circumstance or people, but allow Him to shed light into your soul.  If you can have just a little light, then you have a glimmer of hope even if His answer is not what you expected or wanted.
Trust in God's unfailing and undying love.  Fight the urge to give into the darkness.  Find hope in His love and rejoice in your salvation or finding salvation.  Hold onto the fact that this circumstance will not be forever.  Be determined to find the a calm in your heart again.  Accept that the situation will change your life and world view.  Allow yourself to change while looking up in prayer instead of at the circumstance.

Psalm 13
