Nature of Life

Life is more than the blood that runs in your veins.  It is more than the events of your life.  It is more than your stories.  Life is who you are: mind, body, and soul.  We are all responsible for the story of our life.  We need to own our behavior, attitude, and tongue so that it tells the story that we want to be told.
The story of your life is being written by yourself or by other people.  People pay more attention than you think to how you live and what you say.  Human nature dictates that the average person is just waiting for you to mess up so that they can feel good about their own lives or justify their own behavior.  Either way, they will have their own memories of you.
Silence can be wise, but it can cause anguish, so find a healthy (non-destructive) way to vent and deal with the unpleasant events of life.  Don't focus on the anger or disappointment, but dig deeper to find purpose or reason.  It is okay to ask God why you are here or your purpose in life.  There really is no better place to go with those type of questions.  Don't let anyone make you feel bad for needing to ask.
Give meaning to your life.  It is short.  Don't waste it all in one area like work.  Find the balance you need to find happiness.  Just make sure God is at that center, so that things don't spin out of control.  Search for His approval instead of fickle people that come and go in life.  It is important to have a support system, but people don't always know all the behind the scenes stuff like God does.
Listen to the Holy Spirit as He speaks to your heart.  Be silent as He does His work in you or you may get in the way.  You can destroy your own blessings.  He is listening, so talk to Him.  He wants you to have a fulfilled life.

Psalm 39
