Stronghold

A stronghold is a place you go that is fortified.  It protects you from attack: physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.  It is where you go to feel safe.  You feel like nothing can get you there.  Your home should be a stronghold against life.
War is different.  War is vicious and aggressive.  It needs more strength than everyday life.  In the second Lord of  the Rings Movie, almost all of the movie is in their stronghold.  A place that never had been defeated before.  The people felt like it was impenetrable.  At the end, they were saved by something supernatural.  That supernatural represents God.  God is the impenetrable stronghold.  He is our savior in all aspects.
When we rely on God, then whom should we fear?  Evil is already in the world when you are born.  It will be here when you die.  It can do horrible things because it thrives when you live in fear.  Evil wants to destroy you and see you fall hard.  Turn to the light (Jesus) and the darkness of evil is not as scary.
When you rely on God, you may stumble or get hurt, but God is steady.  He is prepared.  The closer you are to Him the more your heart is steady in times of trouble.  Your heart knows that life is temporary and that when you die that you will be with Him.
Seek God and you will find Him.  He will be your shelter, your stability, your true home.  When evil is trying to tear you down, sing praises to God.  Let your voice be heard.  Do not hide, run, or back down.  Go to Him in your fear and ask for security, then go forward with confidence in Him.  Wait and be strong while He fights for you.  He is answering your prayers.
