When life feels like it is falling apart or becomes scary, it is natural to want security. Some people seek a life of routine where they feel in control and can more or less predict what the day will bring. There are some people that are more adventurous, but it doesn't mean that they don't want to have a level of security. The thing is that we all want to feel secure, but we live in an unpredictable world that can leave us feeling insecure more often than not. What can you do about it?
When you feel lost, out of strength, or scared, pray asking God to hear you. Ask Him to listen to your prayers. Ask that He stay near you. Ask Him to reveal what you need from the circumstance. It may be a personal revolution or you may be enduring something for the benefit of another person. Either way, you can find security in your prayer life if you are willing to listen to God's and respond accordingly.
God is the rock, the foundation of faith, that gives life security. It is easier to really live if you know that after your body dies that your soul will have peace, joy, and celebration for eternity. God is where you go for refuge when life gets scary because you trust Him and want to be near Him. He is not the safe place where nothing can touch you like in the children's game "tag". It is a relationship based on trust.
God listens to your words, your heart, and your soul. He will open the way for your deepest and purest desires to come true. Trust in Him because He loves you. Trust in His faithfulness. Praise Him while you wait because He did not create you to suffer. He wants you to thrive.
