What do you think is the role of a king? I think of a national leader. A person that focuses on economy and society of the people. Their job is to do what is needed to keep their people safe, over see justice, and take care of those that can't care for themselves. They are also in charge of the religious direction of their nation. It is a heavy responsibility.
God is the only king, ruler, leader that does the job perfectly. People have blind spots. We tend to base things off of our own perspective and interest. Political games are real by holding leverage over the leaders to force them to do what they want. Those leaders are just pawns in a game that no one wins. God on the other hand is not controlled by anyone. He teaches how to be a good leader, person, and king.
God's timing is perfect. He never changes. He has everything planned out, but when we go against His will he also shows mercy. His reign is eternal. His judgment is fair and sound. He is the priest and king of all nations. It is all manifested through Jesus.
When you repent, He forgives you. We all will face judgement one day. The only difference is the people that repented here and now versus those that never did. He gave us freewill. What are you going to do with that gift?
