Today is a continuation of yesterday's proverbs. Chapter 11 is a list of proverbs about wisdom and pride. Each verse is different, so that you can look at life at different perspectives and possibilities to figure out how you want to live your life. This is a summary of all the versus.
God takes delight in integrity because they are genuine and reliable. Humility leads to wisdom that is guided by integrity. God will rescue the righteous with a clear path, so that they do not grow weary. A kind hearted person will respect other people. A generous person will prosper. They give their first and best to God gladly. A wise person shows kindness through faithful love. Wisdom's life is lives transparently and captivates people.
Pride leads to disgrace. It is the polar opposite of wisdom. It will take your life in the opposite direction. Pride can lead to ruthlessness. This person only cares about wealth and their desires in the world. They appear to go unpunished, but that will not last forever.
A gossip reveals their untrustworthy character. They have no guidance in life. They are determined to do things their own way. They don't cares who get hurt along the way as long as they look good. Living a life without listening to reason or guidance will lead to a fall or failure. The alternative to wisdom is to live a life unfaithful and at times mercilessly which brings curses upon themselves.
