God's Use for Enemies

God sometimes bring people into our lives to intentionally make us uncomfortable.  He may bring groups to get the attention of other groups whom walked a little too far from their purpose to get their attention.  He may allow war between nations to show us who He is and His power.  He loves His people.  He does not enjoy this, but sometimes we don't listen to reason.
Woe to the unjust, oppressors. and tyrant because when judgment comes there is nothing that will save them.  Their power is limited.  They will face their judgment alone and in terror.  The Godless nation that enjoys destroying people's lives and worshipping other gods will be seized.  God will punish the willful heart of pride and haughtiness.
He can do all of this whenever He wants because He is God.  He has warned us.  God may send disease to bring down the strong.  Nations may be consumed because once God gets started it doesn't stop until it is finished.  Sometimes His fire burns bright.  Being a Christian will not keep you from facing discipline.
Isaiah saw all that was going to happen to Israel before it happened.  It must have been a hard thing to see and know that it would come to pass sooner rather than later, but he faced it.  God allowed Assyria to come in and have victory on the once undefeatable nation.  The survivors would have to rely on God.  When Assyria went too far, then God passed judgment on Assyria.  The enemy may be allow to defeat His people, but there are parameters to save them.  Cruelty will never be acceptable to God and judged harshly.
God tries to teach us not to fear man, but to fear abandoning Him.  We tend to be more concerned with the consequences rather than what caused the consequences.  We need to understand that He is great, powerful, and loving.  This understanding lifts the burden of fighting life alone.  No one and nothing will stand in His way or stop His decisions.

Isaiah 10
