Disaster

 

    When disaster hits, it sometimes helps to remember that it could always be worse.  However in that moment that doesn't feel possible.  That is why it is better to go to God.  Remember His promises and start praying your way through it.  One breath at a time.

    Evil in the world is the root cause for disasters.  Some are trust upon us and others are a direct cause for our own personal sin.  If you turn from our sin and toward God truthfully then you will receive justice and righteousness.  It may not prevent a disaster, but it may just change how it impacts you personally as you accept His glory.  Find spiritual renewal.

    We are commanded to circumcise our hearts.  That means cut away the sin that is stubbornly attached, so that we can be fully receptive to God's love.  Once we circumcise the heart, we can flee to God's safety.  God has asked that you wash the evil from our heart and accept salvation.  You can't return to Him until you remove the root sin that hardens your heart.

    Mourn over God's anger because He is slow to anger.  If the evil in the world is so bad that He is actually angry then it is in a really bad place.  People in the world will lose heart in their horror and will be appalled by what they see.  Peace can't  come with threats.  Judgment will come like the wind of war sweeping evil away.  It is hard to remove malice, so judgment is severe.

    The best path is to never rebel against God.   The punishment is just and pierces that heart causing anguish.  It is one disaster after another.  The land and the animals will pay the price for your rebellion.  God may even use the animals to enact His judgment.  Don't be like a child with no understanding or skill in what evil does to your life and those around you.  

    God will destroy His own creation to get His family's attention.  Satan loves this and encourages anything that produces pain.  His path may appear easier, but it will cost you so much more than to follow God.  Satan hates your very existence, so the more pain and agony you are in the happier he is.  God wants to show you love.  Satan wants to steal, kill, and destroy your life.  Following him leads to an eternity of disaster.
