Walk Away

 

    There are times in your life that you just need to walk away.  It can be from a toxic relationship that keeps you from being able to follow God whole heartedly.  It can be from a job that burdens you so much that you are always stressed out or depressed.  It can be from a lifestyle.  Whatever it is that you have or need to walk away from it is for a good reason.  It is not the time to be stubborn.

    It feels wrong to walk away from relationships, especially if you were raised to never turn your back on anyone (especially in marriage).  You have to trust that God has a reason if He ask you to walk away.  We are not God.  We are not as strong as He is.  The people in our lives do influence us, one way or another.  You do influence them, but if they are influencing you more than you are them, then it could be a toxic relationship.

    Rely on God, especially when it doesn't make sense to you.  He sees the big picture in a way that you are not capable.  His very name is so strong that if you call on it, it will give you the strength that you need.  

    God is truth.  Call on Him to invoke truth and righteousness into your life.  God knows your stubbornness.  He knows that a stubborn heart does not hear His warnings of caution.  It does not catch Him off guard or unaware.  He love you enough to give you correction.  You can find His direction in His Word (aka the Bible).  He loves you enough to offer redemption, you just need to hear His call.

    You don't know the future, but He does.  You can't understand what you do no know.  That is why you can be so treacherous.  When you act like you are in control of things that you don't understand it makes you a rebel.  God could crush you, but He choses to test you instead to see if you will act on what you hear from Him.  It is so you can understand yourself and your relationship with Him better as He removes impurities from your life.  It hopefully helps lead you toward better decisions throughout life.  It is never an easy process.

    God is waiting to free you from your self-destructive ways.  Heaven and Earth obey His commands.  If things that are as old as time listen, then why don't you?  He is speaking to you.  You just may need to stop and turn off all the noisy distractions to be able to hear Him.  He sent His Spirit to commune with your soul.  If you listen and obey, then you will find peace and righteousness.  Rejoice in your freedom because there is no peace for those that follow the nature path of rebellion.  Trust that He will take care of whatever you walked away from and forget about it.
