God Responds Negatively

When we turn God and the Bible into a fairy tail we set ourselves up for a major disappointment.  God will not always respond in a manor that suites you.  He always responds to prayers, but sometimes it is an a negative format.  He is not a wish granter.  He is God.
God's people lived in sin and refused to repent.  Yet they still wanted all the blessings that God had given their ancestors.  They were not too happy to see that He was allowing their enemy to take them away in a humiliating manner in response to their unrepentant hearts.  Unrelenting sin receives unrelenting punishment.
They were destined for death by the sword, starvation, or captivity.  God sent four destroyers: people with swords, dogs, birds, and wild beast to devour and destroy their lives and bodies.  God did not hold back.  His time of compassion was over because they rejected His offer of love to many times.
Jeremiah had been faithful in giving the people God's message.  He delivered God's Word as commanded, but was rejected, hunted, and alone.  He had to watch what happened to his own people.  It was not an easy place to be.  He was at the point that he wished he had never been born because he felt cursed.  God comforted him because he was not cursed or being punished.  he just lived in evil times.
If you live for yourself and money alone, then you will only receive disaster, pain, and loss in your life.  To follow Jesus is a life that may suffer because it opposes the wicked that don't want their sin exposed as sin.  However, you will receive joy and delight in God's Word when you spend time with Him.  It is not easy, but it is the most rewarding.  You are allowed to have doubts, but you are expected to work through them and return more steadfast to God like Jeremiah.
Repent from your sins and that is the first step in finding a better life in service to Him.  Then allow God to save, rescue, and redeem you.  You are His spokesperson in this world.  You are the only Bible that some people may every read.  Let Him restore you to full compacity, so you can fight the urge to go on the easier path of the world.  Stick with God and you will overcome.  Reject God and you can expect a negative response.
