God Exits

Ezekiel looked up and saw God sitting on His throne in the expanse above the cherubim.  He was talking with a man in white linen (Jesus).  He had Jesus enter the work wheel beneath the cherubim.  Jesus took burning coals to scatter over the city of Jerusalem.  Ezekiel sat and watched as this played out.
God's radiance filled the temple like a bright cloud when Jesus entered.  The sound of the cherubim's wings could be heard to the outer courts.  When Jesus spoke, it was like when God spoke.  Jesus handed the burning coals to the cherubim.  It looked like they had human hands.  The fire engulfed the hands.  The image of Jerusalem burning did happen in 856 BC.
The chrysolite wheel faced the direction that the cherubim faced.  It was called the whirling wheel.  The whirling wheel gleamed.  The face of the cherubim appeared in each of the four wheels.  It did not pivot as it went forward.  They had eyes all around them including their wings, hands, and backs.  The cherubim had four faces: cherub, man, lion, and eagle.  The Spirit was in them.  When they ascended, Ezekiel realized they were the creatures he had seen in Chebar Canal (years earlier).
This is when God's glory departed Jerusalem's temple.  It moved above the cherubim and the Spirit.  They raised above the ground and moved to the entrance of the eastern gate of God's house.  The cherubim represented God's glory exiting Jerusalem slowly.  The eastern gate represented ultimate departure.  It is the site of final judgment.
