National Restoration

    The Sprit lifted Ezekiel to the east Gate of God's Temple.  Where he was placed he was able to see 25 men that had plotted evil and gave wicked advice.  They were the leaders of the Israel nation.  The Spirit spoke for God to them.  They were responsible for with filling the streets with dead bodies.  They thought that they were the best to discover that they were unworthy.

    Their punishment was to be driven out and given over to foreigners to do with them as they wanted.  They would fall to what they feared over God: a violent death.  The corruption had to be destroyed before restoration could begin.

    God spoke to Ezekiel about His people, His family.  The people that had scattered would be gathered and returned at the end of Babylon.  The vileness will be destroyed in Israel.  They will have an undivided heart and a new spirit.  The old flesh will be gone and they would follow Him without hesitation. They will have integrity and a new heart.  Everyone else that pursues abhorrent and detestable things will be brought down.  

    God's glory arose higher above the city.  It stopped at the mountain top east of Jerusalem.  The Spirit lifted Ezekiel once again and took him to the exiles in Babylon.  Then, Ezekiel told them all that he had seen.
