Egypt's Lament

Ezekiel wrote a lament for Egypt.  It was about all the destruction that God would carry out on the nation.  They were being destroyed because they were not a Holy nation.
The lament was promised that the day was near that would belong to God's wrath.  The people would die violently, their wealth carried away, and their sacred foundations destroyed ruining the cities.
Like the end of times, it is a time of judgment.  No one can avoid it.  The judgment is really a time of execution.   However, at this time is was to break the Pharaoh as he watches his nation crumble.  He watched has his soldiers fell and his people fled the county.  Nebuchadnezzar defeated Hophra in 588 BC.
