Prophecies Against Nations Part 6

The first five parts were the prophecies that God gave Jeremiah.  Today we will go over the same nations, but from Ezekiel's perspective.: doom, but with future hope.
The people of Ammon showed malice in their hearts.  They were Lot's descendants from one of his daughters.  They were known for their idolatry, cruelty, pride, and oppression of God's people.  They destroyed God's sanctuary and desecrated His land when Israel was being laid to waste.  God's judgment was to give them over to the people of the east.  Contempt is met with God's wrath.  They had the same fate as Israel.
The Moabites never acknowledged God.  Moabites were also Lot's descendants (from is other daughter).  They never thought God's people and nation were any different from any other people or nation.  They introduced Israel to Baal worship.  Their judgment was like Ammon.  Both nations would be completely forgotten about if they were not in the Bible.
Edom was guilty of revenge.  Revenge belongs to God.  Their judgment was being cut off from other people and animals.  They were descendants of Esau, Jacob's twin brother.  The two nations never did get along like the two brothers.  They were a warring, idolatrous, cruel, and vengeful nation.  Their land became a wasteland.  They would realize that this vengeance came from God.
The Philistines had malicious, vengeful, and contemptable hearts that yearned to destroy Judah.  Their hate for God's people never ceased.  Their judgment was that God destroyed their coast.  He wiped out all the coastal people. so that they would know that He is God.
