Malachi delivers the final warning to God's people. It is the last message from God for around 400 years. It is meant to have impact. However, you see the state of things when Jesus is introduces into the Jewish scene. It appears that they only took the warning to the surface level. I wonder if we are any better.
The day is coming where all evil will burn. There will be nothing that remains to be able to revive evil. The righteous will find full healing. There will only be peace and joy or pain and agony. It is inevitable. Nothing will change this conclusion.
Now is the time to remember God's laws and stipulations. We are waiting for Jesus to return like God's people. They were just looking for Elijah's return. They didn't understand that Elijah was a metaphor to help them understand what Jesus would be like.
When Jesus returns again, it will be different. It will not be provide a bridge or to change hearts. His return will be to destroy the bridge. Only the people that are on the side of Heaven will be able to reside there. Everyone else will go to Satan's domain.
The Day of the Lord is a great and dreadful day. It is the day that hearts will forever change. The fate is sealed from the moment of rapture. It is the day of gathering for the final entrance into Heaven or the day of eternal curse. Ultimately, it is your choice how you spend eternity.
