Predictions & Signs

 

   

    Jesus sat at the Mount of Olives and pressed to get in all he could to help them out once he was not physically with them anymore.  He knew it would be difficult and he wanted them to have every advantage.  He knew they would suffer for following him and wanted to give them strength.

    He told them signs to look for of his end and the end of the age.  Many claim to be Christ seeking to deceive people, but do they hold up to every prophecy?  No, they can't.  Only he was able to do that and he made sure he did to prove that he was who he claimed to be.

    There will be rumors of war and nations fighting.  There will be famine and various natural disasters like earthquakes.  This is only the beginning.  It will get so much worse before it gets better.   Christians will be persecuted, hated, and killed for following Jesus.  We should expect to be betrayed, Jesus was.  He was not surprised, but it didn't change anything.  It had to play out.  This is when true believers stand strong and everyone else falls away.  

    Many people reject the faith or will allow themselves to be deceived.  The world is sick and it is easier to except the sickness than to get better.  It is a wicked place that is not safe and we accepted that as part of life.  Love falls away as the world becomes more and more about looking out for yourself instead of taking care of each other.  For this, God will make the world go dark.  He puts a stop to the evil because the Gospel will not be hindered.

    When Jesus returns, nations will mourn as they face the great tribulation that Daniel warned us about.  It will be visible for all to see.  The angels will gather the elect (Christians).  Reality of the truth will come crashing down on all who did not believe.  That is why we are called to be alert and ready to meet Jesus at all times, even when we sleep.  When he returns not one stone will be where it was when he left.  His true power will be let loose.  

    Don't allow yourself to be deceived and lost to the world.  The cost is too high and we never will know when the time comes for Jesus to return for the second time.  Don't lie a hypocritical life that will cost you to weep and gnash your teeth for eternity.  Belief and faith are the only option to spend eternity in Heaven.
