When you start your new life with Jesus, you start fresh like a baby. There are things that you have to learn and it begins with stop doing the sins that you know are sins. As you mature and you discover things in your heart that are sin. Then you give that sin over to God. You change and become more mature.
Just because you are a Christian, it does not give you the right to sin. It gives you the opportunity to see sin for what it is and get rid of it. Your life now is meant to be dead to sin. Salvation gives you a new life. This is a new opportunity to do things differently. The transformation is invisible, but all can see.
You are either committed to live life with God or a life of sin committed to Satan. There is no in between. Life with Jesus is life of resurrection. You are working toward the eternal, not just today. Turn your sins over to Jesus. Put them on the cross and follow him. Sin no longer rules your life, even it it may still influence your life. You don't have to give in.
Sin is death. A life of service to Satan is a meaningless life. You may have everything you want now, but your eternity is bankrupt. It is void of any hope. This life is ruled by sin. There is no freedom without God. Ultimately you will always be serving God or Satan.
