Christian Unity

The world is dead to sin.  Our transgressions cursed the very world that God created to perfection.  No one alive has experienced the perfection that was created for us, but that does not mean that everything is dark and ugly.  God's goodness still keeps the world going.  There is still beauty.  We just don't fully comprehend perfection.
As a Christian we have the Holy Spirit in us to direct us in the direction that God wants us to take.  We better understand the impact that the choices we make today has on tomorrow and down the road.  He convicts us when we sin to repent.  The quicker we repent, the better for us, our relationship with God, and the cost of sin that impacts the world around us.  We have the ability to truly change and put to death the sin that held us back.  We are no longer controlled by sin, but by the love of God.
God's love is mercy.  It is displayed in salvation.  They key description for reconciliation is kindness, grace, faith, and salvation.  He did not have to save us, but He did.  He wants to show us grace and kindness.  He wants us to learn, so that we can show the world.  It is a foreign concept to most people.  We may think that everyone knows this, but they don't.  Even some people who claim the title Christian do not understand God's love or how it makes life better.  They may only see is in the kindness that you live out.
Salvation is based on faith, not works.  No one will be good enough to enter heaven on their own.  No one can earn salvation.  All the glory goes to God.  If you don't stop and take the time to have a relationship with Jesus, then you will not have entrance.  It is that simple.  Believe and then work on growing your faith by building that relationship.  It is the beginning of unity and is essential part of the redemption plan.
Remember where you came from  and look at where you are now.  Are you maturing in your relationship with God?  When you become a maturing Christian, then you will see the need to have the unity with other Christians.  Simply said this unity is the closest thing we have to heaven on earth.  When we come together we may not always agree, but we are with people that understand our struggles.  We can put politics, drama, differences, and more aside to unity in Jesus.
No church is perfect.  We are all human.  We all have fallacies.  We have personality differences.  There are many reasons why we could pick apart our church, but if it is a church that works hard to be a gospel driven church that proclaims the entire Bible without manipulation, then it is a church worth standing behind.  They are more rare than some may think.  Unity is not an option as a Christian, it is vital to the walk.
Jesus is where we go to find peace.  He is the source of unity.  Until you really understand it, then you will always struggle in faith.  He overcame death, so he is the source that overcomes all that pulls us to death.  Division is one of the sources that leads to death.  He became the distinct foundation for the church of people, no the building.
If you are in a decisive church, then you need to take action.  Go to the Holy Spirit to guide you.  You can address it and bring it out in the open, you can leave and go to another church, or you can be the solution.  Just remember that Jesus is the foundation and follow that Holy Spirit.  That choice will never be wrong because the Holy Spirit is what unites us.
