Endurance is a word of strength. It means to have the power to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or position without giving in. A person with endurance will last over time. They have stamina to live life or perform with integrity and confidence because it affects every aspect of their lives. It becomes a part of who they are.
Christians are thrown into the fire of purification, resisting the world, withdrawing from temptation. They are required to develop endurance to be able to live a Godly life. It starts with salvation and then the work on yourself begins. The Holy Spirit opens your eyes to truths about who you are in the eyes of God. You learn to be loved, but you also learn that sin is sin.
We all have to throw off the hinderance of sin to be able to live a life of faith. Allow Jesus to perfect your faith. You probably will not even realize that you are building endurance because your eyes are fixed on Jesus. Do not grow weary and loss heart. Life is hard, but you are never alone. Accept God's discipline on sin and endure the hardships of life. You will be better off for it.
Endurances gives you strength that heals. If you learn how to endure your mind, body, and soul all heal more quickly. It is a blessing that looks like a curse, but it is what will get you through this life with joy in your heart. It all starts with the first step, then the next, and before you know it you have gotten through things you never thought you would survive.
Part of endurance is to do all you can to live in peace while staying holy. It is required to be able to see God. Faith produces grace, so that bitterness will not consume you to lead you to an immoral or irrelevant lifestyle. It is not easy, but if you succeed then your mind, body, and soul will find rest no matter what the situation may be.
God is a consuming fire. Let Him consume all that burdens you, so that you are not consumed. Repent as soon as you become aware of your sin. God is to be be fearfully respected, but through Jesus you can be made perfect. You do not have to live in dread or fear. You can respect and love God while being aware of what He can and will do without consuming fear. Be thankful that He is constant and will never be moved or changed. He is your security.
