The law puts a shadow over good things because it is a constant reminded of the sin in the world. It places guilt on our shoulders for our sins. The first covenant establishes the second covenant, but sin is still always in the presence of all that is good in the world.
Jesus being the perfect sacrifice allows us to be holy. The Holy Spirit testifies the truth that we are forgiven. His presence within us is a symbol of our salvation. He is the one that testifies our salvation. That is why we do not need to doubt, even if we mess up we don't have to fear eternal punishment. We can repent and keep moving toward God with sincere hearts and assured faith.
Christians need to motivate each other toward Godliness: holy love and good deeds. Sin cannot be a part of our routine anymore. The chains have been broken. Don't keep living life like you are chained to your sin. Use the judgement that the Holy Spirit is giving you to step out into freedom or stay as you are and live a dreadful life. The other option is to trample on the sacrifice God made and insult the Holy Spirit only to face judgment.
When the world decides to judge you, stand your ground. No suffering in life could be as bad as eternal suffering. Even if you are publicly humiliated or persecuted, stand firm in your faith and God will honor it. Be sympathetic to those that are treated wrongly because it could be you one day. Encourage each other to make it a habit to do good and stay in fellowship.
Do not throw away your confidence in your salvation for it will be rewarded. We are called to walk in the unknown and the unseen. That is unpredictable, except in the fact that it is under the protection of God.
To live a godly life requires perseverance because it is to face the world committed to bringing the truth to light. If you shrink back, then you will be destroyed. Faith is the only option for eternal salvation, for an inner peace and joyful life. When all else is destroyed, faith is saved.
