Guidance

 

    The best guidance in life is to love the truth.  It will help you enjoy your life with a healthy soul, mind, and body.  You will be more productive with good work.  You will have gratitude and worship in your heart.  You will see the world with a healthier perspective. The negativity and ugliness of the world will not be as overwhelming.

    Faithfulness brings you joy.  Your faithfulness will bring joy to other people as you walk in truth.  Your life becomes a witness for other people to see how to overcome issues and move forward.  How you love people is your testimony to God.  

    Show hospitality to everyone.  That means do what you can for the people that do not have faith.  It may just draw them in to want to have a relationship with God.  You have to work with them in the world, so you might as well try to have a peaceful and pleasant relationship.  If you work in truth, then it will come naturally.

    Do not try to work with churches who do not work in the truth.  Avoid churches that embrace malicious gossip or turn people away from God.  Live your life as pure and true as you can, so that you are not part of the problem.   This is why church discipline is important.  It upholds God's standards, but in a loving way that is not trying to push people out.  It is a way to honor God.

    It is good to learn all you can, but at some point you have to put what you learn into action.  It is not comfortable, but it is the part of walking in truth.  We live in this world, but we are not a part of the world.  That means that we need to live holy and not imitate the evil of the world.  It comes to how we carry ourselves, our attitude, our appearance, our actions, and our words.

    Do you know your testimony?  If you do not, then you need to look deeper into your relationship with God.  Your testimony needs to be a part of your life.  You need to be ready to tell it how it applies in any situation at any time.  That means you don't have to give everything, but what will have impact at that moment.  Do all you can to communicate well with people, so that we can live in peace and honor God's name.
