Abandon

 

    Have you ever felt abandoned in life?  No matter how the people you love or care about treat you in life, you still have God.  Well, you have God until judgment day.  If he abandons you, then it is because you rejected Him first.

    When we reject Jesus it is because we chose not to believe in His Word.  We think we can live the way we want to and He will be there waiting on us to do what we want Him to do.  He is not Santa.  He is not the fairy God-mother.  He sets the standards and gives us the option to follow them or not.  

    When we chose false gods over the life giver (Abba), then we are rejecting Him.  He did not reject us.  However, He doesn't have to sit there and tolerate insolence and ingratitude either.  He will punish to redirect bad behavior.  If we still reject Him, then He will reject us.  That means if you ignore God as your creator and Jesus as your savior, then He will reject you from entering Heaven.

    When you stand firm in obedience to God, then no one can stand against you.  If God is with you, then there is no one to fear.  Your salvation, your eternity, is set firm.  As a nation, the people are strong if they are united with God.  

    You know God will never abandon you because that would dishonor His name.  God does not lie.  If He says something, then it is fact.  There are a lot of scripture to support this fact.  God says He will not abandon you, then He will not.  Just don't be naive enough to think that it is a one way street.  We have to be loyal too.
