Satan Judged

 

    The angel with the keys to the abyss also held a great chain.  This chain seized Satan to bind him for 1,000 years while locked in the abyss.  He was sealed in, so that he had no way of deceiving people (nations during this time).  When Satan's prison sentence is over, he will be set free for a short time.   

    If this time is set, figurative, or a concept, then time will reveal the truth.  I go by what the Bible says, but prophecies don't give a clear picture.  Live your life according to what you do understand and pray for clarity over the rest.

    John saw thrones (not just God's).  Sitting on the thrones are the ones that have the authority to judge.  The martyrs reign with Jesus during this 1,000 year span because they sacrificed their own heads for him.  They did not worship Satan even though it could have saved their lives.  There reward is that they are blessed and Holy to spend this time alone with Jesus.  This is the first resurrection

    No one else will return to life during this period.  The rest will come after Satan is released from his prison in the abyss.  The second death has no power over the martyrs who become priest in Heaven and the resurrected.  

    When Satan is released, he will go right back to deceiving people.  He puts his focus on Jerusalem.  All that followed Satan are in the lake of fire to be tormented day and night for eternity.  That is why it is so important not to get snared in the last attempt for him to gain power.  

    Everyone who died a human death will face the great white throne of judgment, but there is a second book: Book of Life.  We will all be judged according to how we lived (first to last breath, heartbeat, and thought).  Those who had accepted salvation will have their names in the Book of Life and will enter Heaven for eternity.  Everyone else will follow Death and Hades, false prophet, and Satan into the lake.  This is the second death.
