Blessings of Men

 

    Men are blessed by God.  They were cursed to have to work for their leadership, labor for their production, and deal with uncomfortable things in life, but that was because of sin.  Before sin they were blessed.  God never took away their blessings.

    We all need to find thanksgiving in our hearts for what God has provided.  Men need to be thankful for the ground work that God has done for them.  They may have to work hard, but it could always be worse.  God has given you what you need to work with and provided beauty to accompany your journey of life.

    Men are blessed to appreciate nature and see the details in life in a way that women cannot.  Men were charged with taking care of this world.  They are the managers of life.  They understand that people need meat and are willing to take the lives of animals that are necessary.  A Christian man understands that you only take the life that is necessary and never kill for excess, sport, or boredom.

    Men were designed to be vibrant.  They need stimulus in life.  They should never grow bored with what God has given them.  They can always be creative and work with what they have to find gratitude for the gifts that they possess.  Finding contentment in life is a rich treasure.

    Ingratitude is the root of sin for men.  If you do not appreciate what you have, then your eyes go searching for something new, different, or more exciting.  Your eyes can get your mind to think about things that it does not need to think about.  In time if you don't stop the mind's process, it will lead to sin.  Then you will lose what you had and find out what you wanted wasn't as great as you thought it would be.  You life is just better if you appreciate what you have.

    Men are blessed by their families.  That means that they need to be attentive husbands and fathers.  Their greatest relationship that they will have (after God) is their wife and then children.  They need to treasure this family.  Women need to feel loved.  That may push some men out of their comfort zone, but it will make the marriage sustainable and they will earn the respect that they need from their wives.

    Women are beautiful.  Men can't help to notice, especially if a woman is searching for attention.  It can take real strength to walk away or call the woman out for certain attire or behavior.  Men need to be strong enough to do this to protect their families.  If men do not allow their eyes to linger, then they will not be tempted to sin.  You can appreciate beauty without turning it into something ugly.

    Men, your wives are your completion in life.  They are a gift from God to help make your life better.  A Christian wife is to be the person you consult about life issues: good or bad.  Don't ignore that fact that your wife has a brain and a point of view just because you may not want to hear it.  Instead study and learn the good qualities of your wife.  It doesn't stop once you are married.  That is a life long process with your wife.

    The Bible is your instruction manual on how to handle women and children.  Utilize the wisdom that it will bring into your life.  Children can bring great joy into your life, but you have to take responsibility in developing them into adults.  Even if you abandon the responsibility, it will affect how they turn into adults.  

    Do not normalize ungodly behavior or relationships.  It will destroy the family.  Sin is sin.  Just because you don't want to acknowledge it, doesn't mean that that truth changes.  Children are not a casual thing like sports or a hobby.  They are a job that you should invest everything into.  It takes a man to raise, provide, present, and mold children into Godly people.
