Motherhood is a blessing from God. It was always a part of the plan to populate the world. Eve was the original mother. She is the mother of all humans. She is the first to give birth, endure the curse of the womanly cycle, and set the standards of what it is to be a woman. God created her a woman, so He defined it. When a woman has a child, then she is mother. God defined that too.
Characteristics of motherhood that never changes is the womb. A woman has to possess a womb to be able to give birth. The womb represents life. It is delicate and an intricate part of a life becoming an independent person. God chose to create people in the womb, so that the mother would feel a connection to the child. It makes it where she should feel invested and a vital part of the process of making a living, breathing human being.
God gives each child life in the womb before the mother even knows that she is pregnant. God knows the child before it is even developed in the womb. Each child is set apart in the womb for a purpose. It is the mother's job to submit to God and the baby until the baby is born. Motherhood requires patience, endurance, and submitting her own desires for what is best for the child. He body is no longer just hers and her husband's (ideally), but it now belongs to the baby for a while too.
Children are a reward from God that should be protected. It is poor stewardship to neglect, harm, or kill something that God chose to bless your life with. You are the baby's entire world. It loves you unconditionally. It is a part of you. Even if that baby were to die in your womb, you carry it's cells in your body until the day you die. Mothers are any woman who ever get pregnant and you child will always be a part of you.
When the baby is in the womb, it is safe, warm, and free from fear. The baby knows its mother's embrace even before it is born. Together they make up the DNA of what humanity will be. We need to take care of the mothers, so that they can take care of the next generation.
Nursing is a phenomenon that allows a mother to sustain life in the baby after it is born. It also is a comfort for the baby outside of the womb. If a mother is not able to produce milk, then God will provide a way. It is normally due to chemical imbalance or hormonal issue. We live in the fallen world where things just don't always work the way they were designed. Mothers, don't feel bad if your body refuses to do what you want it to. God will use it for good somehow.
Motherhood is a ministry. You spend your life investing into your children to become followers of Christ. Women do things that men just can't do. Men do things that women just can't do. We need to respect what each sex provides and work together to make your family strong. A mother becomes a mother as soon as she is pregnant. A man psychologically becomes a father after the birth. He doesn't have the same connection to the baby as the mother.
Mothers need to fight for their singular ability to create a family. Do not let feminism destroy what God designed. You do that the right to work, vote, and provide for your family, but let the man lead.
Let men be men, so that you are free to be less burdened by life. Do not let feminism destroy femineity, redefine God's standards of the family, or discriminate belief systems. Women are the only ones that can fight this battle against the culture that is destroying the family by standing firm in their faith, prayer, and supporting their men.
