The Characteristics of a mother that follows God is that she is trustworthy, prudent, hardworking, motivator, dignified, caring, and possesses a gentle spirit. There are aspects to being a mother like knowing when to be decreet and tasteful. You are always teaching even when you don't think you are.
Motherhood requires sensitivity and kindness. You have to be humble to be able to put your children's needs above your own ambitions or desires. Your relationship with God will directly shape the mother that you will be.
Your family comes before public opinion. Everyone seems to have an opinion about your life, but when you become a mother they really start advising you on what they believe is best. Good intentions don't change the fact that is the voice of the Holy Spirit you need to listen to when raising your children.
Women are beautiful. We have a special beauty that is soft, even the woman who are not soft have a special feminine beauty. It is good to appreciate that special beauty that you possess, but do not put too much value into it. We all age and from the human perspective the beauty will fade. If you are more concerned about how you look, than the message you are sending your children, then you need to pray over that. The beauty that does not fade or disappear is the spiritual beauty.
Wisdom comes from fearing God's reaction over anyone's opinion. Mothers need to confess their desires, fears, concerns, and value of their family to God. That is the beginning of being a wise mother. It is not an easy position even if some make it look easy. Learn from your life lessons and try to teach your children, so that they may avoid some hazards in life. However, they do get to a point where they are their own person and you have to let go some.
Mothers have intuition that comes from following God. The Holy Spirit gives this to mothers so that they can keep their family safe. It is important to speak in wisdom and kindness. As a mother you have the ability to give your children healthy ideals, strong spirit, and confidence or you can crush your child. Honor God by building them up, but not spoiling them.
There is no time to be passive when raising your children. They need to know how to think and do for themselves. They need to understand failing and the lessons that come from that. They need to understand consequences or the real world will be too much for them. Give them what they need to be strong in the world, but not become like the world.
An aspect of motherhood is wisdom in not letting your guard down. Have humor, but be quick witted. Learn from your children as much as they learn from you. God will teach you all sorts of lessons through your children. Your words hold power.
Use them wisely to counsel your children and allow them to make your dependency on God more secure. They listen and obey their husbands. They teach their children how to be a good spouse and walk with God.
