Awaking to God

 

    Every Morning that we wake up is a gift.  If you wake up with energy and hope, then it is a blessing.  Being able to move and make choices about your life is a gift.  How do you honor God for all that He gives you?

    When you awake, you should thank God for another day.  Look about and start counting your blessings.  I know for must it may take a minute.  You may need your coffee before all the cobwebs start disappearing in your mind and you can be alert.  Start where you can.  Thank God for coffee.

    There is power in honoring God.  He is more than your creator.  If you are a Christian, then He is your most intimate friend.  If you have no family, then He is your family.  If you do have family, He is the head of your family.  He is your creator, family, friend, mentor, and counselor.  

    When you awaken to God and start seeing the world through His perspective, it changes how you see people.  Life becomes more real.  You can find a way to respect people that you may not even like.  You have to find a way to love people that you have nothing in common with because God created them too.  He loves them, so you have to find a way to love them too.

    God is trying to reach you.  If you meet Him every morning before you day starts, then you start your day connected to Him.  He will help you see all your relationships for what they are.  You don't compare them to other relationship, but you do compare them to your relationship with God.  

    If there is nothing Holy there, then it is time to walk away, maybe not forever, but for a little while.  God wants you to fell valued and loved in life.  You are very important to Him.  He does not want your hurting or feeling unwanted.  You are wanted.  

    If your relationships don't produce healthy thoughts and feelings, then they are not good relationships.  That does not mean walk away if someone says one things that hurts your feelings.  It is more like a habitual thing.  Real friends will say things that may hurt you, but it is for you benefit.  They are not trying to tear you down.  These friends are blessings from God to help you stay on your path.

    If you wake up and focus on God, then you awake to possibilities.  God has the power to restore families and broken relationships.  You have to do your part, but so do they.  If they are not healing, then the relationship will not heal.  That is why you need to pray over your healing and their healing.

    It all starts with getting to know God.  He wants a relationship with you.  He is trying to reach out to you right now and every moment of every day.  He wants you to know His love in an undistorted way.  He is your loving father, savior, maker, and more.  He is Abba.  He is mind blowing.  Rise up devoted to God and see what can be possible in your life.
