When you become a Christian, the first step of obedience is to be baptized. The next step is to start your relationship growth with God. The next step is to find a place to serve in your church. All Christians are commanded to be a part of a community that makes a church. It is not always the easiest to obey, but if you want to walk with God, you need to work, serve, and live life with other Christians.
Church is not the place for competition. It is the place for community, healing, fellowship, and strength. People should not feel pressured to do everything. The workers typically do because they do 90% of all the work. If the entire church came together and worked, like it was a part of their job, then no one would get burned out and they would feel more like a community.
Pastors and leadership do not need to micromanage their church. They need to build up, guide, and help the people find their place. If a person will not thrive in one area of serve, then do not make them serve there or they will loose that person or family.
At the same time, if they fell called to an area of service, then help them figure it out and support or redirect (only if you know it is wrong). No matter what there should be conversations. No one should be shut down because God's calling is not going to look right on paper normally. We need to learn how to support one another without trying to put God and the people following God into a box of "perfection".
While you are serving God, do not forget your calling to be a part of a family. If you have a family, do not neglect them to serve God. They are a part of your calling. You also need to make time for friends. You are vulnerable to be Satan's pray if you go at life alone. You need family and friends. If you don't have a family, then find other people that do not have families and make them your friend family.
Churches need to stop solely focusing on the family. You are excluding seniors, singles, and anyone else that does not fit the mold, but follow God. If the workers want peace in life, then they need to follow God without a personal agenda and seek peace. Don't worry about what you did wrong or have anxiety about tomorrow. It won't change anything. Focus on following God and growing as a Christian that serves.
The church should never ask for money. Either you trust God to provide or you do not. Service is time consuming. Focus on doing what God leads you to do and leave the details to Him. If you need money, then pray over it, but don't let it consume your thoughts. Give God the time limit that you need the money and watch Him provide.
Life is full of struggles. Just because you serve God does not mean that life does not affect you. It does and it will. Remember Jesus and all He did. He is your role model, mentor, and director in life. He taught you lessons on how to deal. If you fight God, then you will only find fatigue, weariness, and loneliness. He is always trying to make it easier unless He is trying to teach you a lesson.
You obey and you leave the consequences to Him. He is your master. If Jesus is not your master, then Satan is. You don't get an choice in being your own master. It doesn't work that way. Trust that He has a plan and that it is for your good. Do what you can and leave the rest to Him.
Trust other that you delegate work to do their job. If you want to micromanage, then you might as well do it yourself. Be content with what God has given you and let everything else go. Look at your own life and make sure that you willing to be a slave to other people in your heart to serve like Jesus served.
Serving God does not put you in a place of honor. It puts you in the dirt doing things you probably would not choose to do on your own. Serve God by serving other people in love. You have the freedom to choose to build people up or destroy each other. You are free to be humble or selfish. Jesus chose to give up his place in Heaven to live on earth in a human body in humble service to show people real love. If you want to serve like Jesus, then you have to choose to do the same: serve in humble obedience.
