People in your life are always telling you how to invest your life: money, time, health, and more. Most people have good intentions, but they don't know God's plan for you. The best way to know how to spend your time, money, and energy is to invest a little of all of it back into your relationship with God.
There is some discrimination in the culture today in how Christians invest their time. That is why you need to know why and how to best invest yourself in life. What you put into life is what you get back out of it: money, time, relationships, health, and more. You are in charge of your time management. Allow God to be a part of the process and you will not fail.
There is value in delegation, so that you do not burn out. You have to trust God and other people to do things even if they are different from the way you would do them. You are not supposed to carry the world's responsibilities on your own shoulders. Your load is suppose to be relatively small. God carries the bulk of the load and He provides people in your life to help too.
Invest in teaching other people what you learn from God. A teacher learns better and faster than the student, so it is a good investment to become knowledgeable an wise. Invest in shaping and developing how you think. You need to understand God's Word for yourself to be able to defend it and your standing on it's foundation. If you don't understand, then you will crumble under pressure. View yourself and what you do. Investing in God is investing in understanding yourself too. Analyze your decision making process, so you can refine it to be more like Jesus' mind frame.
Don't just accept your identity or role in life as other people assign it. It can be difficult because the persona that you are given as a child typically stays with you for life. You can break the mold, but it takes work. You may not need to, but you do need to know if it falls under what God as assigned you and how He has defined you.
To assume a belief is true is foolish. Assumption do shape your behavior. If you don't want to act foolishly, then you need to invest time and energy figuring out exactly what you believe and why. Faith is a powerful force, but only when you know how to utilize it. It is empowered through your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
Faith and reason control that control your thoughts can be a force of nature. Making your mind holy will sanctify your imagination and motivations in life. It enables you to set clear and purposeful boundaries. Boundaries also keep you in check.
Boundaries are meant to be a good thing, not a punishment. It help people live life together in harmony and peace. If is only when you do not respect boundaries are there issues and relationship problems.
Invest into learning how to negotiate and communicate, so you can resolve most of your own issues without bringing other people in to fix the problem. Investing what God has given you in life (stamina, health, education, money, time, and more) is part of being a good steward. Being a good steward is part of being faithful and living responsibly. You get what you put into your life.
