Some People Never Learn

 

    Some people never learn lessons in life.  That is incredibly sad because that means that they do not grow as a person.  It means that they reject the personalized lessons that God is trying to give them so that they can be more than what they are.  Change is hard sometimes, but every person has to face it.  It can be overwhelming when a lot of change happens at once even when you do embrace it.  You just need to turn to God when it is too much, but don't reject it.

    Some people never learn because they have their heart set on living life their way.  That reveals a selfish heart because it makes their whole world about them.  It leaves no room for change or growth.  If you think you could be one of these people, then look for signs in your life.  

    We all have a selfish nature, but some people can put it on the cross daily to be more than themselves.  If you do not, then you are not learning a better way to live.  The main sign of a selfish heart is that you repeat the same mistake over and over even when you know what the Word of God says.  A selfish heart thinks that it knows everything it needs to know. That is a foolish way to live life.  No one knows everything.

    If you by a selfish heart, then you know the truth, but you do not change.  You do not do not break old habits.  You are stuck in your default mold and will not change to honor God.  You make decisions without consulting God first.  

    Do not consult God after the decision has been made and expect Him to bless it.  This is a hard lesson to learn.  It would be a very hard life if you never learned it and kept repeating this mistake over and over.  

    A person that is growing in their relationship with God and learning the lessons of life and eternal life will pray about all their choices in life.  You allow prayer to access your inner ear to hear the Holy Spirit, so He can guide you throughout all of life.  It takes learning lesson after lesson to get here, but you have start learning lessons to ever get where you really hear the Holy Spirit.

    You need to prayerfully seek out a prayer partner or small group of prayer partners to pray over your blind spots, hard time, or support.  If you don't have prayer partners, then you will never frow to your full capacity as a Christian.  They help catapult spiritual growth and humility because they will speak truth to you even if it hurts your feelings.  They will be your truest friends, but you have to be 100% transparent with them.

    A person that never learns will be easily influenced by false prophets, unhealthy friendships, ungodly relationships, and toxic family members.  It takes learning and strength from God to break these chains.  

    It is not easy, but it is the only way to find freedom in life.  If your people are always telling you what you want to hear, then that is a big red flag.  The truth is not always what you want to hear.  You need to hear the truth and be willing to change direction to learn real life.  Changing to follow Jesus leads to eternal benefits, knowledge, and wisdom.
