Design for Marriage

Today the value of marriage has gone out the door.  People start families with no commitment.  They live together like a married couple without learning the importance of marriage.  There is a reason God designed marriage the way He did and the order that He did.
The design of marriage is one man and one woman.  They join together after they make the covenant of marriage with God.  Sex is important, sacred, and connects two people emotionally.  That is why sex should wait until marriage.
Sex unites you on many different levels.  It is a physical way to cleave to one another when you need to cleave to one another spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically.  It is putting everyone else in the world second to God, then each other.  It means you no longer can put your parents or children ahead of your spouse.  The only one that is more important than your spouse is God.
God designed man and then woman from that man.  He told them to go out and multiply to populate the world.  That requires sex.  God designed the first marriage to represent the picture of Christ.  That means marriage is sacrificial love toward one another and submission to God.
Marriage is a way to live out your Christianity.  It can teach you a lot about how to live and follow Christ.  It is a mystery that can reveal a lot about a real relationship with God.  Jesus and the church is a form of marriage.  There is no church without Jesus just like there is no real marriage without one man and one woman united as one.
Marriage is about love and respect.  It deserves to be honored through faithfulness.  It needs to be fought for.  Unite together in your faith, so no one can tear your marriage apart including your own selfish nature.
