Marriage is Complicated Part 3

Doing marriage God's way brings blessings.  Removing God from your marriage brings curses.  It all started in the Garden of Eden when Eve allowed herself to be deceived by Satan.  Man was cursed to work hard for their food and to live.  Woman was cursed to want to rule over her husband only to be ruled over and painful female complications.  Satan was cursed to be a fallen angel destined for hell.
How do you reverse the curse?  Certain things are set until the end of time, but you do not have to live separately from God.  You can choose to listen and obey God's personalized design for you.  You can turn things around.  You can hold onto hope.
Even if you can't save your marriage, you can get right with God.  It takes two to make a marriage work. It will not work if only one of you are working for the marriage.  It will not work if only one of you turn to God to make your marriage a priority.
God's design for marriage it to live out hope.  It is about reconciliation, repentance, and forgiveness (much like salvation).  To be restored by God should never be a surprise.  He is never surprised by people, but we always seemed to be surprised by Him.  He is what He has always been.  We are the fickle ones.
You were born spiritually dead inclined to a sinful nature.  From birth we need God.  It just takes a little effort on our part to see that reality.  We all need God.  We may want a marriage and for a good one, but we need God more.
Your marriage is reflection of your spiritual walk with God.  Jesus sacrificed everything for you because sin has always required a blood sacrifice.  His sacrifice is where law meets grace and changes everything.
