Truth Unites

The truth is that we all need a church family to be a part of.  We need each other and to be obedient to God.  Christians need the influence of other Christians since they are influenced by the world the majority of the time.  We need to hold each other accountable, encourage, and tend to each other's needs.
The church needs to be led by a Biblically sound pastor that upholds what he preaches.  That means that he will not marry just anyone.   It means that before a person is baptized that he will confirm that their faith is real.  He will not let just anyone join the church.  That does not mean that not everyone is welcome.   To become a member of a church you have to be a Christian that agrees to live by the regulations of the church (God's) standards.  These are serious commitments that should not be taken lightly or glossed over to help the church look good.
The night that Jesus was led to his crucifixion, he took time to pray.  He knew what was going to happen and he needed to be with his father before he faced it.  The things is, that he spent a good amount of time praying for the people he loved that he was leaving behind.  He loves those that follow him so much, that he prayed protection over them (us) to face the world without him in it.
We are kind of lucky that we can predict what will happen at times, but we don't know what will happen.  Him taking the time to pray teaches his followers that we need to take the time to pray specifically to help, guard, comfort, or anything else for the day, moment, or future.
The truth is that Christians are people that follow Jesus through faith rather than logic or knowledge.  They are sanctified and protected in their faith. The truth unites them with God and other Christians.  Christians are set aside as God's dedicated people.  We live a life of sacrifice, but not in the way it sounds to the world.  Our sacrifice is living a selfless life dedicated to serving God and helping other people.
True Christians choose to follow God's Commands to the point that they will give up their own lives.  That does not mean that we seek death.  It just means we are not afraid when it comes.  We know our eternity will be with God.  We no longer live in the guilt of sin because God has forgiven us and removed it from eternal record.  The truth unites you with God or removes you from Him eternally.
Christians are sanctified in truth.  It changes us.  It transforms us into new people.  Sometimes the people of our past do not stay in the present or future because they do not like the changes.  They don't want to be a part of what we are becoming.  That is on them.  We are not to abandon them, but it is okay to grow and keep moving in the direction that God leads because He made us holy.  To be holy is to be made right with God.
