Aleph Tav

Aleph Tav is את in Hebrew.  It means "the Beginning and the End".  It is the first and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  It appears over 9,500 times in the Hebrew Bible.  את is viewed as the signature of God by many theologians and scholars which makes it different from Alpha and Omega.
Aleph Tav represents the totality of creation and His divine authority.  It signifies completeness.  It embodies Jesus' part in the Trinity.  In the New Testament it gives meaning to the cross to represent the "mark" or "covenant".  It exemplifies Jesus being the strength and truth of the Christian faith.  He has always been there from the beginning of creation until after he brings us home.  He has always had an important role in the Trinity.
When you pray the name Aleph Tav you are praying to Jesus.  You acknowledge his role in the trinity.  You recognize that He is your Lord and Savior.  It is done in a devotional manner.  You confess your faith in his strength, covenant, and presence in your life.  You submit to his authority as your personal leader and seek to understand.

Genesis 1:1-2, Isaiah 44:24-28, Ezekiel 9:3-4, Zechariah 12:10-11, & Revelations 1:8-11, 22:12-13
