Yeshua

Yeshua (yeh-SHOO-ah) is יֵשׁוּעַ in Hebrew.  It is a name for Jesus that means "Yahweh saves" or "salvation".  Yeshua is the shortened name for Yehoshua which is Joshua in English.  It was a common name at one point in history.
You can find Yeshua in the Gospels as expected, but it is used in the old testament (Tanakh) to describe Jesus before he ever entered the world as a human.  Yeshua signifies Jesus' mission of deliverance.  He became the source of hope.  Yeshua is used in worship.  This name brings light into the darkness.  When you see a sunrise this is the name you thank for it.
When you pray using the name Yeshua you are acknowledging Jesus as your source of salvation.  You are giving Jesus the recognition for his authority, power, and role in the trinity that gave you spiritual freedom.  Jesus accepts everyone as they are.  Once you accept him for who He is, then he helps you become the person you were created to be.

Psalm 118:19-21, Isaiah 12:1-2, Habakkuk 3:12-14, Matthew 1:20-21, Mark 15:37-39, Luke 19:9-10, John 14:6-7, & Revelations 2:17.
