Politics

I don't understand the political world.  It is probably because I don't understand it.  I don't see titles making any one person more important than another.  Politicians come across as people trying to making each other look good by being two-faced or tearing people down at any cost.  The idea of honesty and integrity has left the building when there is a room full of politicians.  The worse part is that it apparently has always been that way. (As individual people I am not making any judgments.  I am judging the stereotype.)
King  Agrippa and Bernice came to Caesarea to show respect to the Governor Festus.  While they were discussing business, the topic of Paul's trial came up.  It was probably the most exciting thing in his life at the time.  Festus told them that he did not know how to proceed to investigate.  However, if that were true he would not have the job that he had.
The next day Paul was brought to meet King Agrippa.  There was a big show of Agrippa being present.  The point was to examine the trial, so they would have something to write to the emperor.  They could not find the words that would make them look good.  It came down to them being unclear of the charges against Paul.
The every day person can have impact on the politicians.  Maybe Paul did not convert them, but he had enough impact for him to be a topic of discussion over a period of time.  He did as God directed and God used him to reach people that would not have heard the Word any other way.

Acts 25:13-27
