Finding Your Calling

When we come to Jesus in faith and not just when we are in need, then we may receive healing, but we will for sure receive forgiveness.  He knows our thoughts and heart desires.  He knows what truly motivates us.  He knows if our praise is for real.  Getting to this point is where we start discovering our calling that He has for each person after salvation.
Matthew was a tax collector.  In the eyes of the people, he was the biggest sinner there was.  Tax collectors were known crooks, liars, and cheats.  When Jesus walked into his life, he walked away from it all to follow Jesus.  Jesus recruited Matthew to reach other people like him.  Jesus became human to help those who needed mercy.  People who think they are perfectly fine will never seek help.  The calling you receive is to help the unsaved sinners to discover their need mercy.
It starts with learning how to fast.  Fasting is not meant to be a ritual.  It is a sacrificial period to get closer to God through prayer, petition, and time in the Word.  It brings newness to your life that will not be confined to the box that people try to put God in.
Faith opens the doors for healing.  He can cure the worst diagnosis, but if He chooses not too that does not mean that He does not care.  Everyone dies.  It is just a matter of if He is done with you on this earth or if your death can bring others to Him better.
Your faith and sacrifices may make you different.  People may laugh at you or make fun of you.  However, you will be able to see beyond the veil.  You can see the truth and find peace.  You know that people mocked Jesus.  It is just people being people.  Seek to help them find mercy.  Use your gifts to do God's work and your calling will be revealed to you in time.  It is always changing like stages in life.  As you change, so may your calling.  It is not a bad thing, it just means that you are never done.
Have compassion for those around you, especially when they do not make it easy.  There are so many lost out there.  If you find that your heart has hardened to the point that it does not break when you think about this, then go to your knees and ask God to reveal something to you.  He needs more workers in His field.  Ask for people to help you, so that you do not feel like you are working alone.
