Christians have the option to offer their body as a living sacrifice. That means offering your body to God in a vow to live Holy and pleasingly for Him. It is an act of worship as you resist conforming to the world and renewing your mind daily.
A living sacrifice is a life of being tested and striving to be found perfect by God. The world will tell you that you are living the wrong way, so you need discernment as the world challenges your values. The goal is to stay consistent. It is not easy. Judge yourself through the standards that God has set, so that you can repent and start again without the sins piling higher and higher. That only makes your detour longer and harder.
All Christians are a part of God's body, but we all have different roles and functions. When we come together, it all starts to work together. We are not our own person any more. We have to hold ourselves accountable to each other to utilize our spiritual gifts in the best ways. The Holy Spirit gave us gifts according to His grace. The gifts are prophecy, serving, teaching, encouragement, giving, leadership, and mercy. They stem from our faith, service, ability to teach or exhort, generosity, diligence, and cheerfulness.
