Post Thanksgiving

All I want to do is rest today.  Most of us overate and ate all day.  We enjoyed our gatherings and time of celebration.  Then, comes the Black Friday shopping.  A lot of people were out all night shopping to find the best holiday deals.  I am grateful for the internet, so I could do all my shopping from the comfort of my couch watching a BBC movie.
Still, the holidays take a lot out of us.  Some of us don't get to relax.  We have a list of things that still need to be done, like decorating for Christmas.  It is easy to loss the whole point of it.  We still need to find what we are thankful for and remember what is actually driving us to continue on instead of sleeping.
It is all about the people.  We need invest into others instead of pulling into our comfort zone.  We need to go out and seek the lost during the holiday season to give them the opportunity for the best Christmas gift ever: salvation.
We need to pray for those that we seek out or that God leads us to talk with.  Not everyone is at a place where they can hear or see the truth.  If they walk away or even become rude, then just remember that you planted a seed.  For us defiant people, you can feel accomplished because you planted a seed even if they did not want it.  Your kindness may haunt them if they were rude.
Be patient because Satan is striving to take away all the seeds that you are planting.  He is working equally hard to have you fail.  That is why you need to be dressed in the armor of God.  You can't take care of anyone if you don't protect yourself first.  When you are dressed, then seek the lost.  While you do that, reedify the weak Christian.  That way they have the opportunity to become strong.  Also, take care of each other so the strong can stay on the front lines of the spiritual battle without defeat.
