Remnant

Remnant is a fun sounding word that makes me think of a mythical time.  In reality it is a small remaining quality of something like a strand of hair.  A true Christian is a remnant.  We are what is  remaining of Jesus on Earth.  We follow His way even though we have not met Him in person. We hold onto this relationship like the most treasured pin pal because we know Him even though we have not seen His face.
God does not reject people.  People reject God and then get mad because He does not do things in the way they want Him to do them.  He is not a toy.  He is God and we are His remnants chosen by grace.  We are not His equals, but we are special.  We are special because we get to see the truth and we do not harden our hearts to it.
Our job is to give other people the opportunity to have a life with Christ.  God is the roots, Jesus is the tree, and we are the branches.  God supports us through Jesus.  The unbeliever is cut off, so that the others can thrive (live) in our faith.  This is not something we can be arrogant about because it does not come from us.  All the glory goes to God.

Romans 11: 1-25
