Learning How to Pray: Part 2

There are things that are expected to pray over.  One of those things is our salvation.  How can you work out or through your salvation without prayer?  More than that, you have to ask God to give you salvation.  It is not something that is just given or found.  Salvation is more than just getting into Heaven.  It is a familiar relationship with the living God.  It is your defense against Satan's attacks.  It is what makes it where you can live a life of obedience through love and freedom.
God is the inventor of hope.  We need to pray for hope to find comfort in the worst times of suffering.  There are always cruel people.  Use prayer to not let them be a distraction.  Wicked people find their enjoyment in tormenting people.  If they come after you, then your life may feel like it is a continuous night.  God can still find you there, so chose to stay obedient.  He will get you.
Prayer can consist of promises or vows.  He has made plenty to us.  It is only right that we promise to obey and to seek His face.  Consider what your life could look like if you walk closely with Jesus.  To live a wicked life is to be blind to the truth.  It is much easier now, but the consequences are far worse.  Draw strength to continue doing good by giving God thanks for all He has done for you.  It draws in a joy that can not be described.
After seeking hope, making your vows, and thanking Him, ask Him to teach you daily.  Ask Him to teach you good judgment and discernment.  It will help with a lifestyle of obedience.  Ask Him to help you learn His Word, so that you can be good.  Ask Him to give you a humble heart, so that you do not become arrogant with all that He has given you, callous, or unfeeling.
Sometimes a little conflict in life is good because it moves us toward Him.  Affliction is a good motivator to move toward what it precious to you.  It is very revealing on where your heart lives.
God is our maker.  He deserves our honor.  The only way you can do that is to stay in His Word and prayer.  He will teach you how to be faithful.  He will comfort you because His love is unfailing and He is compassionate.  Don't think about revenge for all those people that have hurt you.  He will take care of it so much better than you ever could imagine.  Focus on keeping your heart blameless.
