Learning How to Pray: Part 1

God blesses the people whom choose to walk with Him.  It is displayed in the lifestyle.  It is obvious to people paying attention if a person is seeking God with their heart.  If other people can notice, How much more does God?  How does this lifestyle affect those watching?
We know what God requires out of us.  If we do not, then the life manual is called the Holy Bible.  God wants a life of praise in all the lesson that He teaches, even the hard lessons.  It is learning His commands, processing them in your heart, and living them out daily.  We all have our off days, but the point is to make sure there are more good days than off days.
How can a person live a pure life in a world that is constantly telling you that you are wrong?  It is simple, but not easy.  It is developing a life of prayer, so that the Word meditates in your heart and mind throughout the day.  It is finding a hiding place in God when life gets too hard.  This hiding place is where you can go to escape sin.
If you ask God to be with you, then you need to be prepared to live in obedience.  You can ask Him to reveal things to you as you read His Word.  He will open your eyes to how to live in your society and be His.  Ask Him to help you with what you struggle with like pride.  The sinful nature can be replace with Godly aspects like calmness.  He is waiting for you to come to Him to counsel you.
To live for God is to stay in His Word and listen to His guidance.  That means meditate on what you read and don't do all the talking in your prayers.  Leave time for Him to speak.  It may not be audible, but He is clear when He speaks.  Look for ways to apply the Word to your life.
He will strengthen the weary soul, just give Him time.  Life doesn't work on your time table and neither does He.  While He is working on you, ask Him to protect you from deceit, so you can absorb in His truth.  Part of life's fatigue is allowing the world to affect you more than you need to.  It happens to all of us.  See it for what it is and move forward away from any shame into His strong arms.  It is how you free your heart.
In prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to become your teacher to find direction and understanding in life.  This requires a willingness of the heart to really change.  It is giving it over to God and turning away from your selfish desires.  It is ridding yourself of worthless things that become burdens to be preserved by Him.  This life removes fear and any disgrace from the past.  It is a righteous life.

Psalm 119: 1-40
