Learning How to Pray: Part 4

To be able to pray, you need to be able to take pleasure in obeying God's rules and regulations.  Basically, you find peace with living in the boundaries He set for each of us.  When you realize that they make the world fair, you begin to find enlightenment in them.  Your soul begins to yearn to know His direction for your life and how to get away from what oppresses you.  It begins with salvation, then prayer.
God's laws are good and should be trusted.  They are not your enemy keeping you away from a fun or wealthy life.  If you chose to fight God, then you will become weary.  They only way to thrive is to learn His ways, embrace them as your own, and pray to understanding them on how to live an abundant life.
Obedience is motivated actions or behavior by love in your heart for God.  If you want to live out your salvation, then you have to pray through obedience.  Put your hope in His Word to protect you from evil.  Ask God to take your suffering.  Ask Him to defend you.  Ask Him to redeem you.  He has a great capacity for compassion, but not for the wicked or prideful.  Persecution is part of follow Jesus, but don't turn away.  Instead, chose to loath sin and stay obedient.  God is true and eternal.  You can be too.
People of leadership or even the Government may persecute you, but keep your heart in God's Word.  Hate lies and embrace the love that comes from the Law of God by praising prayer.  Be honest with yourself and Him and He will reveal secrets to you.
Pray for understanding like your life depended on it.  Give Him abundant prayer before He gives you the answers.  It shows that you know He will answer and you accept what the answer will be, no matter what.  Live your salvation out passionately.  Ask Him to sustain you, so that you do not burn out.  Admit to yourself and Him when you have strayed or begin to burn out.  It speeds up the healing process and getting back on track.

Psalm 119: 129-176
