The Night is Darkest before Dawn

Have you ever been in a situation where you are like I can't handle even one more minute of this and it gets worse?  This is the worst part of life.  This is where you find out what you are really made of.  You learn just how much you can handle.  The good news is God does know just how much you can handle.  Look at when you work out, it is not always fun.  You get to the point where you just cant hardly breath, but if you push through you usually find a second wind.  Or when you get sick and the doctor gives you medicine.  The medicine usually makes you feel worse before you get better.  The same goes with God.  He sometimes will allow you to get to the darkest place before revealing the light.  It is not easy or fun, but when you get that relief...well only a person who has experienced it can understand.
When Moses returned with his brother Aaron, the people got hope.  The brothers proceeded with God's outline and went to Pharaoh.  The Pharaoh, once like a brother, did not except warning about the plagues.  He did not take the "threat" very well.  He decided to take the bad news out on the Hebrews.  He had to prove who was in charge.  As the Pharaoh sat around in comfort doing office work, he called his slaves lazy.
The Israelites, called Hebrews, were at the worst place that they had ever experienced in history.  They had to make brick by hand, but now they had to go out and get their own straw, the binding agent.  I mean really.  How are they supposed to do that and meet their quotas?  On top of the impossible work load, the foreman were encouraged to beat the Hebrews.  Moses was bringing the light, but they were lost in the dark and could not see he would ultimately be making things better.  They understandably could not see past their own pain.
Everyone blamed Moses and Aaron.  It was an impossible situation for both of them.  Moses was wise enough to go to God instead of just quitting.  After all, he did not want to be there in the first place.  He thought he was there to rescue the people, not make it worse.  He had to walk by faith because there is no way he could understand what was happening around him.  No one could.
Sometimes thing get bad.  Sometimes we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.  We have to keep moving.  We have to walk each step and each breath by faith.  The light will come after the darkest part of the night.  When it comes you will see how much you have changed.  I pray that you have evolved into a stronger reliance on God.  It was never promised that it would be easy to follow Jesus, but it is worth it.  Don't give up.
