Seeing God's Glory

Have you ever seen anything glorious?  In other words, have you ever seen something and just knew God was in it?  Have you ever had an intense and explainable experience with God?
God sent His people toward the promised land, but did not go with them because He was angry.  Yet, He was not going to leave them alone.  He sent an angel to stay ahead of them for protection.
To have God rescue them, then constantly be with then, then not having Him at all must have been hard.  I can empathize because we all have had moments when we feel like God has left us.  Knowing God is always with me even when He is angry is vital for my comfort.  Things were different back then.
.   They built God's home in hopes that He would return.  When it was done, Moses and Joshua entered the tent while every eye was on him.  A cloud came down to the entrance when they entered.  Moses returned to the people while Joshua stayed.  He finally got to be that close to God and was not about to leave.
Moses knew he could not lead these people alone.  He asked God to teach him His ways.  He knew he had to be closer to God to ever be a good leader.  God promised to be with him and to provide him rest.  Leaders can find it difficult to get proper rest which is vital for the job.  Moses had God's favor, so God showed him His glory.  Any person who sees God's real face dies from the experience so, God showed Moses His back.  Moses got to see God's glory in a new and special way.
God knows what each individual person needs most.  If you are willing to go to Him humbly and open to new things, then He will be happy to give you what you need.  No one has a right to be entitled in their relationship with God.  It is the humble heart that earns favor and will see His glory.
