How to Worship

Worship is a mighty word.  It is the human response to the presence of the perceived divine.  It turns normal actives into something holy.  When we feel God's presence it changes everything: physical response, emotional, and even chemical (mental).
When the attitude of worship is present, then the response is natural to be rid of all things that are sinful.  However, the elation feelings will fade.   How do you deal with sin when the natural high is gone and life is drudging on?
God expects His people to put Him first even when we are not feeling the elation.  It is a relationship that is in the good times and the bad times.  That means we need to do more than just go to church.  It is finding your own place to worship God.  In the "War Room", it was a closet.  That is great because there are no distractions and most people with not bother you there.  Your place can be anywhere that you can go to clear your mind, talk, and listen to God's response.  Where you can truly let go and be completely open.
Worship is riding yourself of sin and everything it taints.  It is rejoicing in God no matter what is happening in your life.  It is celebrating the life that He has given you.  It is choosing to stay pure when everything around you says you should do different.  Worship is ignoring the temptations around you to stay focused.  That is not easy at times, but it can be done with a little effort.
Worship can be ignoring how other people chose to worship to find what works for you and God, but it has to work for God and not go against His Word.  It is sharing your time with Him like meals.  It is giving back like in tithing.  Worship is taking care of your body to keep it as His temple.  To worship God you have to be careful of what you allow into your mind and body.  He made you perfectly.
