Being blessed is a gift and a decision. We are all blessed with life. Every life, not matter how it came about, is a blessing. Life is a beautiful thing. However, there are some people that are blessed in a way that stands out. They are blessed to either serve a purpose or because of their obedience and open heart to God.
King David was one of those especially blessed people. He came from nothing and became a king. He defeated everyone he went against without becoming proud. He was generous and took good care of his nation. The more he gave the more God gave in return. More importantly, he honored and paid tribute to God every step of the way.
King David reigned justly and righteously. That means he did right by his people and God without sacrificing morals. It is not always easy doing what people expect and honoring God. He made sure to honor his leaders too. He set the standard and showed us how it can be done.
