God's Glory

To know what is God's glory, you have to know who God is.  You have to know what is glory.  Glory is the weight of importance that accompanies God's presence.  It can be perceived as a heavy burden or good fortune for the masses.  God's glory comes along with praise and worship in a community.  The closer you become with God, the more He reveals Himself to you and the more you can embrace His glory.
After God's temple was finished, there was a celebration where Solomon prayed over it and the people.  It was when He prayed over the temple that the people experienced seeing God's glory manifest as fire in the sky and descend upon the temple.  It was acceptance of His home.  Even the nonbelievers had to take notice.  The nation embraced His glory and worshipped.
The worship and celebration lasted for 23 days.  After an experience like that, how do you go back to your everyday life.  It takes being intentional to keep God's glory present in your life.  It requires an intimate relationship.  God understands how easily we become distracted.  God went to Solomon with a warning on if he did not lead the people or his personal life in-tune to Him.  To abandon God is the worst thing any of us can do.
