Wisdom

Wisdom is an invisible power that gives a person insight to the world and how it really is.  But it goes deeper than that.  It is an instinct on how to handle the variables around you.  If you listen to the Holy Spirit and apply what you know, then you will not go the wrong way.
God was willing to give Solomon one gift of anything he wanted.  All Solomon asked for was the wisdom and knowledge to lead his people.  God was so pleased with his request that he added in great riches and honor.  Solomon was the richest man that ever lived.
Solomon used that wisdom to build God's temple that his father had designed.  He also built himself a palace.  He received grand gifts from other kings. King Hiram of Tyre made a contract with Solomon for building supplies and skilled people to have Solomon's projects succeed.  Everything Solomon touched was successful.
Solomon did a census of all the aliens in Israel and assigned him jobs.  His father had made sure all his people had a way to provide for themselves.  Solomon just took it a step further to give the immigrants that chose to live in his nation the same opportunity.
Wisdom is not something that comes natural.  It is developed over time.  Some people are gifted more naturally toward discernment, but wisdom goes deeper.  It is more than education.  It is knowing how to apply the knowledge that you hold.  It is knowing how to use the rules and laws of life to find freedom.
