Opposing Closing Argument Part 3

When in ending or officially closing an argument, it is important to remember not to insult your opponent.  It makes you look petty and detracts from what may be a valid point.  Elihu respected his elders.  He respected Job.  He saw them as wise with hears that have heard many things and mouths that know when not to test things.  Their words should withstand scrutiny.
Elihu expected his elders to have a spirit that can discern good from evil.  God is incapable of doing evil, so we can't blame him when things go wrong.  When things are bad we have the responsibility to discern why.  Elihu addressed everyone, including himself in this portion of his speech.
Elihu was zealous for God, so he had a good closing argument.  He knew that God is gracious and provides life without partiality.  We all die one day and we can't be angry with God when it happens.  Evildoers will go where they chose while they were alive. In death there is no where to hide.  Those that follow God will be rewarded.  God sees everything including the heart and soul of people.  We cannot sneak anything passed him, lie, or hide.
`A person that humbles themselves begins with repentance.  We all have to repent an it is not a one time event in life.  If we refuse, then we are condemning ourselves.  Even if you are a Christian and you refuse to repent of a sin, then that sin will not be erased from the judgment book.  (You don't loose your salvation, but you will have to answer to it on judgment day.)
Elihu believed that Job was guilty and spoke of repentance for Job's sake.  He was not judging, but he did not have the wisdom behind these circumstances to not speak up.  He spoke with passion and because he cared.  He was not trying to judge Job, but to save him.
